What are Chipy.com’s Online Raffles?

Chipy’s raffles are online gambling competitions for registered users only, in which the participants can buy tickets for a chance to win a prize.

What to know when starting with raffles:

• Participants have the chance to win real money prizes and Chipy.com coins.
• A user can have multiple winning tickets for a raffle.
• The more tickets a user buys, the better his winning chances are. 
• Raffles run for a limited period of time. 
• Once a raffle ends, the winning tickets are randomly drawn from the pool of all purchased tickets. The winners will be notified on-site and via email.
• How to know if you are eligible to enter a raffle?
• First and foremost, in order to enter a raffle, you need to have an account at Chipy.com. If you don’t have an account, you can easily open one for free anytime you want. Also, you need to be logged into your account before entering the raffle.
• Moreover, each raffle has additional eligibility requirements related to the user level. 
• You can check the minimum level required for entering a raffle in the Raffles Page, Details section. For example, a certain raffle might require you to have at least level 2 in order to enter. 

How to know if you are eligible to enter raffles?

First and foremost, in order to enter a raffle, you need to have an account at Chipy.com. If you don’t have an account, you can easily open one for free anytime you want. Also, you need to be logged into your account before entering the raffle.

Moreover, each raffle has additional eligibility requirements related to the user level. 

You can check the minimum level required for entering a raffle in the Raffle Page, Details section. For example, a certain raffle might require you to have at least level 2 in order to enter.

The eligibility requirement is also displayed on the raffles list page, so it’s easier for you to see what the available raffles are for your current level.

What are the main categories of raffles?

Based on availability, you can find 3 types of raffles:

Active Raffles

These are the ongoing raffles that you can enter if you meet the criteria required for this type of competition.

Upcoming Raffles

Upcoming raffles will start at a later date, which means you need to track them in order to see when they become active. 

If you’re not eligible for an active raffle, you can always prepare for an upcoming one by leveling up and/or collecting coins. Keep in mind that you can only buy tickets for active raffles.

Ended Raffles

Ended raffles are raffles that were finalized (reached their end date), which means you won’t be able to enroll anymore. However, you will be able to see who the winners were, the number of tickets they purchased, and what the prize pool was.

What are raffle tickets and how many can you buy?

The raffle tickets are virtual coupons that you can buy in order to participate in the raffle. Each raffle comes with a set of rules, such as entry frequency and entry limit.

• Entry frequency. This refers to how many tickets you can buy per day. For example, if the entry frequency is 2/day, this means you are able to buy up to 2 tickets per day.
• Entry limit. This represents the maximum number of tickets you can buy for a raffle. For example, if the entry limit is 10, this means you are able to buy up to 10 tickets in total while the raffle is ongoing.

For example, if we have a raffle with an entry limit of 10 and an entry frequency of 2 per day, this translates into: “You can buy a total of 10 tickets for this raffle, but no more than 2 tickets per day”.

Take into account that some raffles may also have unlimited entry limits and/or frequency. This means you can buy as many tickets as you want.

What is the prize pool, and what prizes are put up for grabs?

Raffles come with exciting prizes

The raffle winners are rewarded with 3 types of prizes, depending on the raffle:

• Chipy Coins Prizes
• Real Money Prizes 
• A mix of Real Money and Coins prizes

Prize Pool Explained

The prize pool represents the total amount of winnings for a raffle. It is calculated as: no. of winners x prize/winner.
Take note that a raffle can have one or more winners, and all raffle prizes are equal. If you want to know how many prizes a certain raffle offers, what the prize per winner is, or the prize pool, feel free to check out the raffle’s “Details” section.

How to enter a raffle?

Now that you have a broader view of what Chipy’s raffles are all about, the next step is to understand how you can enter one. First of all, you need to purchase a raffle ticket.

At Chipy.com, we have Free Entry Raffles and Paid Raffles:

• Free Entry Raffles. Entering this raffle is free of charge, which means you don’t need to pay anything in order to enroll.
  
• Paid Raffles. If you want to enter this raffle, you’ll need to purchase a ticket. The ticket price may vary from raffle to raffle, and it’s expressed in Chipy Coins, our site’s own currency.
  

Buy Raffles tickets in three easy steps:

• Click on the “Enter Raffle” button. 
• Select the number of tickets you want to buy.
• Confirm the purchase, and the total amount will be drawn from your balance.

If you don’t have enough coins in your balance to enter the raffle, or if you’ve already bought all the tickets available for the day/entire raffle, you will be notified.

How are the winners selected?

Each purchased ticket has a unique identifier associated with it, known as the “ticket number”. Once the raffle ends, an automatic random draw will take place. All tickets will have equal chances of being selected.

After the random draw ends, the winning tickets are manually validated by our Community Review Team, according to our T&Cs. During the validation process, a generic message will be shown on the raffle’s page.

What to keep in mind:

• The more tickets you purchase, the more your winning chances will increase.
• A participant can have multiple winning tickets in a raffle.
• Tickets bought by “blocked” users will not make it into the draw pool; keep in mind that only users who contribute to the community and follow our website’s Terms and Conditions can win in a raffle.
• The raffle winners will be published on the raffle page once the validation is finalized.

How to find out if you won?

If you become the lucky winner in one of Chipy’s raffles, you will be notified in two ways:

• On-site. To check out your notifications, click on the bell icon in the site’s header or check them out in your User Homepage - Notifications section. 
• Via email. If you have one or more winning tickets, we will send out an email to notify you, which will also contain the instructions you need to follow in order to redeem your prize.

How to track your winning ticket’s status?

The status of your winning ticket will be automatically updated as follows:

• Details pending. We are waiting for you to redeem the prize.
• Processing. This status will be displayed after you confirm the prize redemption.
• Completed. This will be displayed once we have completed the prize transfer.

How to track your raffles?

In order to track your raffles, go to your User Homepage, in the “My Raffle Tickets” section, where you will find all the information you need to know about each raffle you’ve entered.

This is what you will find:

• The raffle’s name with a link to the raffle’s page.
• The status of the raffle (if the raffle is ongoing or if it ended).
• The number of tickets you’ve purchased.
• The winning ticket(s) will be highlighted; additional info regarding the winning ticket will pop up if you click on the winning ticket.
• For real money prizes, you need to redeem your prize; go over the required steps.

How to redeem your prize if you win?

How to redeem a coin prize

If you win a prize in the form of coins, this will automatically be credited into your account once the draw is finalized and the winning tickets are validated.

How to redeem a real money prize

If you have a winning ticket for a Real Money raffle, go to the User Settings page, fill in your payment details, and ensure they are verified and up to date.

Redeem your real money prize in 4 easy steps:

• Step 1: Log in to your Chipy.com account and go to your User Homepage, My Raffle Tickets Section.
  
• Step 2: Click the “Redeem Prize” button under the ticket to claim your real money prize.
  
• Step 3: If your payment details are not set up on your User Settings page, we will give you instructions on how to set them up. If you already have the details filled in, you can jump to the next step.
  
  By failing to provide your payment details, we will not be able to transfer the real money prize. Learn how to set up your payment details.
• Step 4: If your payment details are added and verified on the User Settings page, we will ask you to confirm the prize redemption in your User Homepage, My Raffles Tickets section, to make sure your winnings are transferred into your favorite e-wallet.
  
  You’re all done! After we process the details, we will transfer your prize into your preferred e-wallet, according to our T&Cs. Please note that the transfer may take up to 7 business days.
