Hi, thank you for your question!😉

Keno was introduced in Massachusetts on September 30, 1993, with draws taking place every five minutes. That’s 22 years after the enactment of legislation to create a lottery in the state.

While draws initially occurred every five minutes, they concluded 20 years later on February 28, 2003, after a total of 475,622 games!

Starting from March 1, 2003, the drawing frequency was adjusted to every 4 minutes.

The lowest number of games drawn for Keno in Massachusetts occurred in December 1995, totaling just 101 games.

In contrast, the highest number of Keno games drawn was 300, spanning from November to April 2023.

The final notable revision occurred in April 2023, when the drawing interval was further reduced from 4 to 3 minutes, setting a new record with 400 games drawn.

It’s interesting to mention that Keno joined other Lottery offerings as a highly popular game of chance at the time, succeeding draw games and Instant Tickets, which appeared in 1974 at $1 per piece with a massive $10,000 prize.

Hope that helps!😇
