Hello friends!

Thanks for asking!

RTP is the initials of Return To Player

The RTP% listed in a game's information/rules page is "theoretically" the percentage it plausibly returns to players over a period of time, usually calculated and estimated from millions or billions of spins.

Some casinos have a highest RTP category of games with each one's current RTP% noted, which is close to real time payout percentages of those listed,

House Edge:

There’s one certainty in gambling: the odds are always in the casino's favor. This built-in advantage, known as the house edge, ensures that over time, the casino profits while players ultimately lose more than they win.

I hope this helps!

Hello Jaisingh!

The difference is quite simple:

RTP (Return to Player) tells you how much of the money wagered a game is expected to return to players over a long period.

For example, if a slot has 96% RTP, it means that, theoretically, players get back $96 for every $100 wagered over a very large number of spins.

House edge is the opposite. It tells you the casino’s theoretical advantage.

So, with a 96% RTP, the house edge is 4%.

In short:

● RTP = what the player gets back

● House edge = what the casino keeps

● 96% RTP = 4% house edge

Neither one guarantees what will happen in a short session, since individual results can vary a lot.

Hello @Jaisingh,

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to explain.

They’re basically two sides of the same coin.

RTP tells you how much a game is designed to return to players over the long run, while house edge tells you how much the casino keeps.

For example, 97% RTP = 3% house edge.

Just keep in mind these are long-term statistical figures, not what you should expect to win or lose in one session.

You can learn more information on this subject in our section of House Edge Guide: Understanding the Basic Statistics Behind Casino Games.

Cheers!
