Hello @KanyeEast,

Great question. Both American and European roulette are popular casino games, but there are some key differences between the two:

  • Number of Zeroes European Roulette has one zero (0) while American Roulette has two zeroes (0 and 00).
  • House Edge: European Roulette has a house edge of 2.7%. Due to the extra double zero in American Roulette, the house edge is almost double at 5.26%.
  • Number Sequence on the Wheel: The sequence of numbers on the wheel is different for both versions. This doesn't affect the odds, but it's a noticeable difference if you switch between the two.
  • Outside Bets: In European roulette, when the ball lands on zero, players who placed outside bets (like Red/Black or Odd/Even) lose only half of their bet. This rule is known as "La Partage." Some European tables also offer the "En Prison" rule, where the bet remains on the table for the next spin if the ball lands on zero.
  • Table Layout: While the layouts are quite similar, the positioning of outside bets is different, and American roulette tables often have the additional betting option for the "00."

In summary, if you're looking for better odds, European roulette is generally the better choice due to its lower house edge.
