Chipy’s Exclusive Interview with Jeff, Operations Manager at Mad Money Casino

Here we are with a new addition to our exclusive interview series! This time we're sitting down (albeit virtually) with Jeff, Operations Manager at Mad Money Casino. We're excited to learn and share with you all about Mad Money: the origin story, core values, plans for the future, and much, much more! Keep reading below to find out! 

Chipy: Hello, Jeff! First of all, we would like to express our excitement regarding this interview, and we are sure that our community will be enthusiastic as well to learn more about Mad Money Casino. We would love to find out how the foundation of the casino went and what's the story behind it. 

Jeff: Thank you for the opportunity! I am excited to share everything about Mad Money as we truly are unique in many ways.

The idea to create Mad Money Casino was crafted in early 2018 by a group of friends and gambling enthusiasts who were tired of losing money in various casinos that were impersonal and unfair in many ways.

After a late night of gambling that saw us all lose yet again, we had one of those fantasy conversations of “we should open our own casino, we could do it better and treat the players in a more personable manner and make them feel valued.” The next day, the research started to see what is involved.

One thing led to another and with all of us being entrepreneurs and already having the capital to afford such a project, we pulled the trigger and got started!

Chipy: In such a competitive industry, how do you think Mad Money Casino manages to stand out from its competitors?

Jeff: The industry is certainly competitive, but there is a place for everyone to fit in, you just need to find your niche. Mad Money is what I like to call a Boutique Casino. If you shop at boutique stores, you know you are getting high-end products and service that is more personable, remembers who you are and just provides exemplary service that makes you feel like family.

Players who value this type of interaction always return to Mad Money. Because we give everyone that extra time, we do not place an emphasis on being the fastest at everything.

Our established players know we are fair and look at each situation objectively regardless of what our terms and conditions state.

Since we joined this business as an outsider, our approach to everything has been different. I feel that has worked out in a good way and helped set us apart as we always introduce fresh ideas and never a clone of someone else’s working model.

Chipy: We have been pleasantly surprised to find out about all the new upgrades that Mad Money Casino has done recently. What are the main enhancements that the players can enjoy now?
 

Jeff: There is so much that has gone into our new site, it is hard to know where to start. This was not a simple update or reskin of our old site, but a 100% completely new site built from the ground up. Design and implementation took 12+ months.

There was nothing wrong with the old site and we were very successful with it, but with us being new to the industry, we learned a lot in a short time.

With this new knowledge, we wanted to create more uniqueness in our gambling site and take the focus away from the traditional high amount of bonuses offered and give back to players in other ways as you cannot set yourself apart by duplicating what everyone else is doing.

With this focus, we cut 90% of the bonuses we offer and give players Daily, Weekly, and Monthly cashback on all their gameplay. This is raw cash, wager free!

Since it is based on all gameplay, players can receive a significant amount back, just as if they would have claimed a match bonus, but it is wager free, so there is no need to meet any terms before you cash out your wins. 

In addition to cashback, players earn Rewards Points on all gameplay. These can be claimed in the Mad Money Market which has Free Spins, Free Cash, and Free Merchandise! It’s a great way for players to earn free play. 

We have also increased our Loyalty Program from 5 levels to 30 levels! Each time a player levels up, they receive a bonus which can be a match deposit, free cash, free spins, or rewards points. And the higher your level, the higher percentage you receive on your Daily, Weekly & Monthly cashback.

So you can see how all benefits are intertwined and the more loyal you are to Mad Money, the more you will earn over time. 

A cool feature we have added to track your progress in the 30 level program is a virtual casino! This is our vision of what a real Mad Money Casino would look like. On this map, you claim your cashback and level up rewards.  

Other changes we made which are more visual is a redesigned logo and site colors. New top and side menu bars, quick deposit button, and improved categories such as Megaways and Bonus Buys make navigating the site much more intuitive and easier. The flow and function have been improved 100%!

Finally, to protect players, we have added a Responsible Gaming section so players can now edit these preferences themselves rather than contact us to set an exclusion or deposit limit. It is important to us that players play responsibly, and this puts the ability to set limits in their hands so it can be done when they need it most.

Chipy: What's the most important design element of Mad Money´s site graphics?

Jeff: We are very excited about our new site logo and site colors! The new logo is a 3D “M'' that is much more recognizable and memorable. Anytime you see it, you know it's Mad Money.  

The bright colors and font used to create “Mad Money” are also much more attractive. Additionally, our menu items for Slots, New Games, Live Dealers, Megaways, etc are also brightly colored but subtle at the same time. The whole site design is very much updated to 2022 standards.

Chipy: How important are the quality and diversity of games for an online casino in 2022? What can you tell us about Mad Money´s newest additions?

Jeff: In today’s market, most casinos are a white-label or have a game aggregator, so everyone basically has all the same options. Beyond the standard package of games offered by these aggregators, there are add-ons with 5 to 8 providers adding appeal to your site.

I do feel we are on the verge of some new game providers that are bringing quality and uniqueness to the market, so over the next year, I expect to see some new names popping up with a hit release.

But really, the game providers you should offer really depends on your main markets. With so many game provider restrictions that vary per country, you may not need some popular providers as your client database cannot access them.

So it is important to judge a casino’s game provider offering based on the geography they target. VPN-friendly casinos usually offer a wide variety of game providers because they are trying to appeal to everyone.

Chipy: What are the main challenges that a crypto casino faces in the current development stage of the online gambling industry? What was the most difficult one for Mad Money?
 

Jeff: You have crypto casinos that are unlicensed. You have crypto-only casinos that are Curacao licensed and you have Curacao-licensed casinos that accept Fiat and Crypto. We are a fully licensed Fiat and Crypto casino.

We have not faced many challenges in regard to accepting crypto. It does make things easier since Fiat processors and Visa have so many restrictions that can cause failed deposits or put limits on the number of player transactions.

I fully support players using crypto as it is quick and easy and eliminates a lot of the hurdles and restrictions encountered in the fiat world.

Chipy: What are your thoughts in regard to the impact that crypto casinos have on the entire crypto domain? Do you think crypto casinos will become the norm of the industry?
 

Jeff: Yes I do think crypto casinos will continue to grow and become more accepted and normal for the industry. It’s a good solution for many of the issues we currently face. It's fast, easy to use, and offers the lowest processing fees.

The biggest hurdle is getting mainstream players to learn how to use it. Which is a shame as it is easy. The money saved from the lower fees is significant and is ultimately the more money we could offer back to the players in promos and cash bonuses.

Players just do not see this side of the situation and unfortunately, it hurts them and us. 

Chipy: Mad Money offers exceptional options in terms of crypto depositing, via multiple methods. What can you tell us about the new Fiat to Crypto processor that you offer?

Jeff: To help Fiat users that deal with failed transactions due to Visa or geography restrictions, we now offer a very slick option that lets them use their Visa, Mastercard, ApplePay or GooglePay but the transaction processes through the crypto network.

The money shown in the player's account is in Fiat, so the player does not see or deal with cryptocurrency. It is the ultimate solution for players that refuse to set up a crypto wallet.

But even as slick as this is, Fiat players are still scared to use it! They do not understand and will not use something they do not know. But we are trying to educate them.

Chipy: Maybe one of the most interesting features that 2022 has brought to crypto-oriented gamblers is the new Split Screen mode that you propose. Tell us more about this revolutionary idea.

Jeff: Split Screen mode is my favorite new feature! We fully developed the ability to play 2 games side by side. This can be any combination you wish. Jeff: Our new loyalty program is much more extensive and engaging than before. Players are automatically enrolled and begin earning experience points each time they place a bet.

Jeff: For marketing to active users, we use traditional email and SMS. We are in the process of implementing a new CRM system that incorporates push notifications, an on-site inbox and pop-up notifications for a more direct and interactive experience.

It is a smartly configured system that can recognize the games you play most, recognize when you are low on money, and other configurations so we can contact players immediately with special offers, free cash or free spins, and other cool things.

This is all part of our desire to be interactive with the player and recognize their needs to make them feel special. Who doesn’t want free spins on their favorite slot when they just spent their last dollar?

Chipy: What are the main aspects that must be considered to create an enticing and satisfying bonus, from your perspective?

Jeff: Players are conditioned to look for high percentage match deposits. Secondly, they need to look at the wager. This bores me and is the same run-of-the-mill type bonus everyone does.

I do have some super-secret offers I use that are creative and known to work well but to spell them out for you and the reasons why they work so well would be giving away too much! Let’s just say there are other aspects to a bonus you can adjust to make it appealing.
