Why are some questions marked as duplicate

If you are submitting a question that is a duplicate of an existing question it will NOT get published on the website.

This is why it’s very important to check existing questions and resources before submitting a question. Make sure your question is unique before posting.

How we handle duplicates

If we identify a duplicate question we will not publish it on the website.

Instead, we’ll send you an email with a link to the similar existing question. You can go to that question and click on the “I have the same question” button.

You are now following that question. Every time an answer is posted for that question you’ll get notified.

The more users have the same question, the more popular the question gets and will have more visibility throughout the site.
