How do I write a good answer?

1. Don’t hurry and write a reply. You should start by carefully reading the question and making sure you fully understand the problem. It's important to take your time and do some research before you begin writing your response. 
2. Brief answers are accepted, however a detailed explanation is way more useful. It has the potential to earn more helpful votes and rewards. 
3. Include links and provide context for them. A link without context will not help, other users will not understand why it was put there if there is no explanation for it.
4. Images, when appropriate, will enhance the quality of your answer
5. Check your writing: We don't expect perfection, but answers with correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, and proper formatting are easier to read. They also tend to get more helpful votes.
6. Always be polite and helpful
