Why may an account be blocked?

We may block your account due to violations of our community guidelines, as Chipy.com tries to maintain a safe and secure environment for all its users. There are various reasons why an account may be blocked including: 

• Spam
• Multiple Accounts
• Abusive comments or behavior

Down below, we will go into more detail about each of the aforementioned situations in which your account may be suspended.

Spam

Spammy and fake accounts are promptly suspended as they bring in false or inaccurate information for Chipy.com and all of its users. These types of accounts engage in activities that are not in conformity with Chipy.com’s terms and conditions. However, a real person’s account can sometimes get suspended by mistake and if this happens, the account will be restored.

Multiple Accounts

Duplicate accounts do not fall under Chipy.com’s terms & conditions, therefore they will be suspended when detected. It is a violation of our community guidelines to open another account after the previous one has been suspended for breaking the rules. The accounts remain disabled until the account holder is informed about the issue. 

Abusive comments or behavior

Harassing, intimidating, or threatening other users is strictly prohibited by our posting guidelines. An account may be suspended temporarily or, in some cases, permanently if it is reported to us that the user engages in abusive comment behaviour or encourages others to do so.

How can I restore a blocked account?

You may be able to recover a blocked account if you request to unsuspend your account by submitting the “Reopen My Account” form.
